We know your time is precious! Here are some tips to help you find time to workout.
While this post talks about busy moms, these tips and tricks can apply to anybody, as we know time is precious no matter what your title is!
Motherhood, or adulthood, may create many challenges, especially finding time for self-care or hobbies, like exercise. Many moms, and adults in general, are juggling family schedules, meals, childcare, and employment.
Here are a few tips that may help anyone add workouts into their life.
Create a schedule, and add your workout to it
We are much more likely to follow through with something, like a workout, if we have intentionally put it into our calendar!
Schedule the workouts during "down" parts of your day
Take note of what a "typical" day is like, and see when you can add in a workout.
Is there a nap time that you can use, or maybe your lunch break from work? Does hitting your favourite class right after work, on your way home, suite your schedule, or would a later class fit better, once the kids are in bed?
All movement counts!
Can you only fit 10 minutes in during that nap time? Take it! Have to pick up the kids but you can manage a 30 minute class after work? It counts! Whatever you have time for, try it. You may be surprised to learn that only a few minutes of exercise can influence your mood, for the better of course!
Bring the gym/class to you!
If getting out to the gym or your favourite class is not in the cards, bring it to you!
